  1. When I was in LA Boyd was all I had there...... & he treated me like a son.

Sounds like I should probably call & check in.

Will be praying for Boyd & the family.

Prayers from Overseas! God may save u!

I've met him one time at Anthony's Orange County Rod & Custom Shop in '03.
He was a very nice man, and he also liked "our" stuff a lot!

Visited his shop also. A Gearhead like we all are!

    Good luck!

I know he has diabetes ... which affects the kidneys and liver.

I really liked the 32 Vicky he built years ago ( Red with Zeniths ) for Luce.
He stays at the same Hotel I do in Louisville @ the NSRA NATS and is always nice and friendly ... away from the show.

Not a fan of the TV show, nor his later builds but I wish him a speedy recovery.

Diabetes is a KILLER ...

Sorry to hear this. I met him in the Columbus airport two years ago. He was very cordial and down to earth. Prayers to him and his family.

We all know Jesse James and Chip Foose both worked for him in the past. He not only left his own mark on this industry, but he provided a gateway for many talented guys to break into this biz. He's so high profile, he can be an easy target nowadays. Everyone knows him for a reason.

Here's hoping he finds a way back to good health...

Bump with more prayers for Boyd , his family and his employees

  13. Thoughts and prayers go ou to Boyd and his family. He influenced more poeple than he turned off both in the car arena and in his personal life. Boyd's really shown his true colors in the devotion he's given in caring for his handycapped brother over th years. We wish him well,
God bless Boyd and his family...

Boyd IS in very bad shape. The problems are not from an accident, but rather just a human body having trouble. I won't go into details because it's not my business to.

While you are throwing prayers or whatever out there, do the same for Lil John Butera, he's in even worse condition right now.

Like them or not, they did have huge impacts on the hot rod world.

I know I'm in the minoritiy but I actually like the majority of his cars and I enjoyed his TV show, drama and all. He definitely knew how to surround himself with good people to accomplish his dreams. I hope he recovers...prayers are with him and his family.

    Thoughts and prayers for sure.

Funny, my style has evolved, but when I was a kid I would get so damn excited about a set of Boyd wheels.

    Truly a pioneer.

I hope he can find the strength to pull through.

Sad news..............my thoughts go out to him and his family.

He was nothing but nice to me when i visited on my honeymoon 10 yrs ago. You dont have to like his direction, but he is a pioneer of the hot rodding culture.

    Sad news indeed

  22. Just cause I don't like his style, doesn't mean I would mean him any harm. Hope he beats it.
Cadzilla has always been one of my favorite cars!

  24. When you can be a household name and put hotrodding in the spotlight, its hats off to Boyd Coddington. Any time you become as well known as he, people take a lot of pot shots at ya. He handled all the nay sayers and continued to make his indelible mark. Hoping the best for all the Coddington family. Prayers and well wishes from the Midwest.-Sololobo

I wish the best of luck to Boyd and his family. This thread just goes to show how the differences that we have when it comes to our hobby is really not that different at all. We all are brought together through this love for Hot Rods whether we are traditionalist or innovators we still have the same passion That is the passion for old iron. With that being said I can truly say I hope Boyd pulls through this and keeps on building the cars that he does. Either way you look at it everyone that we all build keeps one more from going to the crusher.
