Does anyone recognize this heavy duty BRACE?
    It’s 16” long and
    4” wide at one end.
Most of my stuff is Ford but a lot of years 50’ to 70’s.
Any serious input would be appreciated. IMG_8687.jpeg IMG_8686.jpeg IMG_8685.jpeg IMG_8684.jpeg

Most likely a bumper mount, but specifically what model, I cannot say, other than it is off of a Ford model I have not owned or worked on.

measurements might help... won't help me, but maybe somone else

  4. Maybe a center support under the hood latch for a '62 or'64 Ford. I looked and it's close but not the same as a '63.

Maybe the inner brace on a front fender?

Until we see a picture of another one that looks just like this, I have no clue to what it is...

it most resembles the front bumper brace for a 57 Chevy, but it isn't, because they have two bolt holes at the frame end, not one.

That was my understanding as well, Ford stamped everything that was on the vehicle before it left the factory.
Is it possibly a rear step bumper support? Universal step bumpers would have had a mirror image for the other side (a left and a right version of the same bracket).

If the part was off a Mopar, it looks like to could have been a bracket for a small block lower transmission support, or a bumper support (front or rear).

I looked closely at this part… no stampings whatsoever.
It’s similar to the fender or bumper braces on the 50’s cars but nothing is identical.
    Your input is appreciated.
I’m glad I’m not the only one ”I duntnoo” ;)
