A pair of combination shock and headlight mounts we made for my rpu project. Some scrap steel temporarily in place to hold the bottom mount for welding.

a very very good thread guys...........

  11. Kinda hard to see, but this is the bracket I made for the clutch slave cylinder. Bolts to the T5 and has two different mount points that change the direction of pull

  12. Here's another brain-twister bracket.. It mounts the fuel-pump and the secondary fuel filter. It can all be unbolted and dropped out for service... only had to make this one twice before I got it right..

brackets to change the alt setup for a short waterpump. I laid out the adjusting slot and drilled holes then filed them to make the slot.

Holes obviously look cool, but do they serve any other function? Is it to reduce weight?

Many people drill holes so they can put fasteners through steel, hold things together, rather than weld them. ;) :D

I guess it was originally done to lose weight, or help air pressure escape when done on some body panels.

No very fancy, but very sturdy, and easy to adjust. The pipe is thick walled.

A simple frame mounted bracket for my Austin gasser. Too tight to mount the alternator and bracket to the engine, so alternator pivots off a header mount, and adjuster off this frame mount:

    Gary,

Thanx for resuscitating this thread. It was/is one of my favorites. I'm surprised that C9 never posted to it. He made some exquisite brackets. you can still search for his bracket posts and see some really cool stuff.

This thread was started in 2008 and Jay was with us into 2010.

I'm looking forward to seeing what has been created in the 7 years since the last post in this thread.
