Can I install a power brake booster without the rubber boot? It's too big to fit through hole in my brake pedal bracket. Is it's purpose just to keep dirt out? It fits if I leave it off. Thanks.
I'm using a wildwood swinging pedal that can't be bored out big enough. It worked for the manual setup. I would like to keep using it because I had to do quite a bit of fabrication to mount it under the dash of the '47 Desoto.
