I got this brake booster of ebay and it came unassembled without instructions..i pretty much know how all it goes together except the 2 peices in my palm...i guessed and show that peg in that whole with the point forward and the rubber cone on it the way ive shown and inserted in that hole...is that right?? and how tight do i bolt it down?
You don't use the boot in your application. That's if the master was used without a booster. As for torque, I've never seen a torque spec, or used a torque wrench on a brake booster. It should be arm strong tight, 30-35 or so pounds, but again, that's not a torque wrench item.
so i wonder why they sent me that rubber boot...as far as the peg..am i suppost to use that? and am i putting it in the right way? thanks
They sent you the boot because it comes with the master cylinder. It looks like you are putting the plunger in the correct way. The O ring just holds it in place during assembly and keeps it from rattling around. It doesn't seal anything.
