Has anyone ever put together a model a frame with a Dagels Super X-member? I am looking for help with the brake / clutch pedal assy. I am using a small block Chevy with a Saginaw 4-speed. The problem is that most manufactured assy's (Pete&Jake, Speedway, etc) are about 7 to 8" in width at the crosshaft. I only have 6-1/2" from the inside of the boxed rail to the shift rods. I am looking for an alternative. Any ideas?? Thanks much!! I appreciate any help offered.
I take it you mean to use floor pedals. Have you considered a swing setup, maybe a Tardel unit or one from a production application?
the fun in a build is the building what we need, anyone can 1-800 a car, look at a car that has petals that are the length you need take good measurements and build your own that is what i have in my 38 pickup, haven't driven it yet but they will work, enjoy
Sorry, yes I'll be using floor pedals. I'll check on Tardels. Haven't tried him yet. Really would like to keep master cyl under the floor for a cleaner firewall.
Jim Meyer Racing Products has a small universal underfloor assembly. Not sure how much it is but they are in your neck of the woods.
Thanks! I'll try Jim Meyer also. Has anyone else actually fabricated one? I'm new to this and pictures are worth a thousand words.
