Hot Rods Brake Drum Weights

Hey Guys,

I have a 58 Lincoln Continental that I am putting new wire wheels on. I have to remove the weights bc they won't let the wheels sit flush against the drum. I tried removing them with a hammer and chisel but had no luck. How hard are they to remove? I was hammering pretty good. I just don't want to damage my drums. Any advice?

 

grinder or cutoff wheel. And get the wheels balanced on the car from now on
