Hot Rods Brake Help

    So, I am finally done with all of the other stuff and am putting the roadster back together. I haven't installed the tank with the in tank pump yet. Today I did check the electrical system and cranked the motor. I noticed the "wurring" of the brake motor. I never realized it before because of the loud carter fuel pump. Thanks to you all, I now know that is the electric brake motor. Is it supposed to run continuously? It never stops when the key is on.

    It should only run when the system is below the minimum pressure.

    Thanks Gimpy, that's what I was thinking. Since I don't see any puddles of BF, does this mean the pump is bad? ...Or the pressure switch? How do I diagnose this horrible system?

    I will be firing it up in the next day or two. Then I can get a feel for how much vacuum the engine pulls. It certainly does not sound like a radical cam. Crossing my fingers....

    There is a pressure switch on the pump.
