Installed new disc brakes on all 4 corners of 1951 Chevy Deluxe. Installed a new 1971 Corvette MANUAL M/C no power, (2) 2 lb residual valves, and a prop valve. I fabricated the M/C bracket that was in one of the threads to keep my original pedal position. When I bench bled I marked off the stroke travel on a screwdriver and marked the push rod so I know I'm getting full travel. BUT bled everything 5-6 times and still not getting anywhere near a hard pedal! I dialed in and out on the prop valve during bleeds, no difference. I'm at a total lose! This is the only thing keeping me from the road after a 2 year build. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?????
Adjust the rear brakes. Find a manual or an online tutorial. The rears are adjustable and usually that is the problem.
He has discs all around. Is the master a disc/disc master? Double check for loose lines, back off the proportioning valve per the manufacturer's instructions. I would vacuum bleed the system, go around the cat twice. The thing with discs is, if the pads aren't pushed out against the rotors, it has a negative impact on the pedal. So you have to get enough pressure going to push out the pads, go around and bleed it again.
