Wanting to see if I need to put a loop in the brake lines that run from the brake master cylinder (on the firewall) to the distribution block (on the frame). I've seen cars with and without the loops. I believe that the purpose of the loop is to provide flex so the line won't crack or break. Any thoughts?

Well I would think it would depend on how much movement there could be between the two. M/C mounted on firewall of a T body on a stock A frame YEP!! . Both frame mounted Nah.

A loop would absorb vibration, and if it only gave you peace of mind and nothing more . . . go throw a loop in there.

My 52 Chev has been running for 10+ years without loops, no probs. Every car I've plumbed since has loops. Don't know why, maybe just like C-1-PW said, "peace of mind".
