Ive been doing my best to be civil. I know that this is his business and this is what puts food on his table. It just sucks the way it all went down. I appreciate the kind words. Thanks!

You can always tell an Irishman
You can always tell the Dutch
You can always tell an Englishman
But you sure can't tell him much.

    And:

Give an Englishman a piece of metal and he will do something silly with it.

I have read all the posts and one thing occurred to me. Didn't Limeworks close down there shop about a year ago and had a sell off of their equipment? Everyone was sad to see them go. Correct me if I'm wrong. Now if I am correct why did they close down? Pissed off customers, legal issues, etc.? Just wondering. I did call a few years back enquiring about a part they were selling. Don't recall who I spoke with but he did have an English accent and a VERY arrogant tone. Some of the "famous" types can get swollen heads.

I have no idea on what issues he might of had. He still has his shop and its now in Santa Fe Springs CA. I had some HAMB members chew me out for asking if he was closing his doors. They all said he was getting a bigger shop. He down sized and let go of all his employees. He sells product and does 2-3 cars a week now.

  6. As for the move - At the time, Steve told me he was going to just concentrate on the Parts side of the business and therefore did not need the large shop anymore......

Too bad he wasn't doing 2-3 cars a week when yours was in his shop.

Finding brass fittings @ the local parts store in stock has become almost impossible. I've been having better luck at home depot.

I already had my fair share of teflon paste and JB weld from the Depot haha. Ordered from CG Ford about two hours south of me. I'm now worked up to get this done.

Advance Auto Parts here in Patinaville has drawers full of brass brake line fittings.

Who the fuck said anything about teflon paste or JB Weld?

  13. At $90 an hour, I would make sure those lines were clean enough to lick off of!.

It was a joke dirty old man. Making fun of my own situation with the plumbers paste and JB. Was not making fun of your advice. I just pictured my buddy shopping for those two items to fix my car. Sorry it got lost in translation.

For brass fittings, try McFadden-Dale Hardware or Tops Auto Supply, both in Anaheim.
McFadden-Dale has hard to find stuff, hardware related.
Tops is an old-school auto parts store.
    Good luck!!

That is totally unacceptable period. Brake lines are not that frikken difficult to do. I hope you get this worked out I cant believe something that basic took so long to get worked out. BTW check out the NICOPP alloy line, this stuff is by far the easiest to work with. Anybody that hasn't used it should try it the next time you make lines.

Unkledaddy, not trying to start any fuss with you, but the post of mine was directed to the OP. not anyone else, and needs no reply except from OP. We have conversed privately and have reached what I hope is an amicable stage of agreement without needing your assistance. Thx

    WS...
Good to see you are back on track, bet it will feel good to be back on the road and get this
    Cluster%&$# behind you.
And just an added kudos to you on the way you have kept a level head throughout this ordeal, and especially the civil way you brought this to our attention.
    Happy trails.

Thank you sir! Never was this about bashing anyone. My goal was just getting advice on how I should go about the repair. I can't wait to post the repair ( fingers crossed ) and just to enjoy my car.

I'm tied up until after Labor Day, or I'd come over and give you a hand.

    What a mess.
Going way back to the early pics, (If anyone mentioned it, I missed it) it looked like the AN adapters into the T might have been 1/8 pipe thread INSTEAD of the proper 3/8 inverted flare, which would have actually seated in the T.
