brake lines

    Just plumbing the A sedan hiboy. all parts stores sell poly coated brake lines and I do not think they look good in this application. Went to speedway to get the non coated. Anyone else have this same opinion? Just does not look right on the A.

  2. i but don't like the looks of the stuff either. we sell a lot of it at the parts store i work part time , but if i need brake line for myself i just order in the normal stuff

    only green I like is my lawn , on copper and cash , and more cash . for brake lines that are seen on fancy cars or in the elements all the time its stainless . and steel with satin black paint on others .

    For me it's not even about the looks. That stuff just doesn't seem to hold up very. I have had pieces rot out in a matter of years. And it also gives me tons of trouble trying to flare it.

    Do you have a NAPA near you? Ask them for the "other" brake line behind the counter. It's silver colored on the outside and copper colored on the inside. I've used it on my 61 for brake and fuel lines and it bends and flares real nice!

    I have asked my napa store and they can only get the poly armour. I just ordered from speedway so I hope it is not crap.
