I'd like to change out the big ugly master on my booster, duel GM set up. The booster is an aftermarket, smaller better looking unit, fits the old stuff just fine.
Are the masters all the same other than a few different bore sizes just have to fit into the booster?

So if I mic the bore and then get the master that looks best(better), anything else I should be considering?
BTW I'm still stuck to the firewall location, fer now...

Bore size and if you want left are right fittings. Some aftermarket have both. Manual and power brake mc have a different Rod depth. Some after market give you an adapter so they work for either. Then disc drum are disc disc. Seems like these days we use disc disc to work disc drums and have no problems.

    whoooo OK, thanks fer that
I was wondering if.... say.... any GM PU truck or big/mid car-car master of the last 20 years with one of the 2 bore sizes, mine is 1,1/8", is all the same internally and can be used... are they all the same with a slightly different pot on top?
And what the heck is the difference for disc drum to disc disc, proportioning?

rereading your post. You want a smaller master? Mustang and GM had a small master. Some were drum drum others disc drum. If you have disc drum get the master disc drum same if drum drum get a master for that. Disc drum need the purporting valve.

I've got disc/drum at this point but like disc/disc in the future, depends on the wheels, if torque thrust I don't want to see drums. Anyway I see the cl***ic industries good lookn' model is available up here so I may go that route. Its only money after all... gadzooks! I'd have to remove the existing proportioning valve too and hope a distribution block is cheep and easy maybe on the same shelf at KMS. We shall see.... http://www.kmscarparts.com/index.ph...=30000000_30120000_30120300&products_id=17714
I know it costs to get rid of ugly...
