I have been having a problem with the quality of brake master cylinders manufactured in China. Does anyone know if Dorman, Wagner, or Raybestos still make their master cylinders in the USA?

Funnything is I paid more money for a made in usa master cylinder from wagner for my model A I converted to juice brakes. Had the wife inside pumping the pedal like crazy and I wasn't getting anything at the wheel cylinders. Looked underneath and fluid was pouring out at every pump. Found a hole in the casting right between the "W" and the "A" in the Wagner casting. Time for lunch. They replaced it and made it right but it goes to show you don't know what you are getting.YRUHOT

Reman here or there is about the same. Quality control is poor. Good ones are good and the bad ones bad. I ordered Dorman wheel cyl's for the 48, yup made in china. No problems though. Although they use metric bleed screws. I have decent cores for the 28, 49 brakes, gonna rebuild myself. The only reason I bought new ones, or reman, was mismatched ones I had. And whole cyl was only about 3 bucks more than the kit.......... Unfortunatly Made in USA only means higher prices Quality is still poor.... have to compete with Mexico and China..............:(
