any of you had your shoes relined recently? i was told i can take them to napa and have it done. just curious on what kinda price they are charging for this. thanks guys. trey
i used to reline 'em for the smaller parts stores..thought i was gonna make a killing....not so!! any way, check with any one that uses fork trucks and ask where they send theirs....you wanna skip the middle man, that would be NAPA, and go directly to the guy that will do......hope this helps CT.
I had a company here in KC do them. They were 11 bucks each. I believe Grimlok had the same guys do his. The real cool thing with these guys was that as I walked in the door with the shoes under my arm, the guy behind the counter says "oh, you got ya some 36 and 37 shoes there, set 'em on the counter". Before I had them set down, he went to the back and had a relined set ready for me to take out. Thats somebody who knows their stuff!
We have a small clutch/brake company here in Omaha that's been in business since the late teens. They do all my relining for both my clutches and brakes. Last early fords I had done went on "Hiboy 32"'s rear axle....reline both sides and turn the drums..$26. They just relined the 39 LaSalle clutch disc and rebuilt the 56 Dodge truck pressure plate for my Hemi 36 chevy pickup. Haven't got the bill for that yet. Check your yellow pages for "clutch and brake rebuilders"
