There's a place in Chesterfield Township. I can't exactly recall the name but they just did some Packard shoes for us. Reasonable and decent turn over time, like 4 days. They specialize in industrial clutches and lazer/waterjet cutting. Found them with a google search and the office queen is too busy right now to dig up the invoice for the name. I wanna say American "something"?

I think Clutchmasters in Warren do brake shoes. They do brakes on big trucks, I know. Also a great place for clutches, as the name implies. I also had some done (MANY years ago) at Scientific Brake in Flint - I think there are (were) other branches, but not sure they still exist.

Look in the phone book under brake and clutch. Most cities of any size have at least one shop that rebuilds brake shoes and clutches.

The googles and the phone book dont tell if they are a good company. The place in flint was bought out by a bigger global parts outfit, used to be call southwest brake. But thanks for the info I give American a try. or just do it myself.

American did a fine job on the Packard shoes. The price and timing was just as promised. Packard front shoes are a bit unique. The left side lining is 1/4" narrower than the right. I know it sounds kinda screwy but the reason is the "Trunion Block" left frtont spring mount at the rear of the spring. They had no problem getting it right and it works. They're also pretty "real" people who appreciate references and knowing how you found em. Good luck and have fun.
