brake update for banjo

    You put a lot of thought and good engineering into this brake setup. Nice lowbuck upgrade for the application. With the big binders on the rear you could need a proportioning valve. But needless to say a good inexpensive job.

    Great job. This would actually work on any 28-48 Ford Passenger Car OR 28-47 Ford 1/2 ton Pickup/Panel rear end.
    You would need to check the 28-31 A rear end spring perch clearance to the cylinder brake pipe inlet on this before committing to it just like the early Ford conversion.
    How about a shot from the rear installed?

    What was the price for the f150 drums? Nice job.... might think about that on my coupe??

    to answer some of your questions,, there is a discription under mosr of the fotos if you inlsrge them and scroll down !!!
    is this my album ?? yes
    backing plates , ? junk yard , get everything ,so you will have e-brake parts
    drums $ ? best i remember 20$ each , the complete job was less than $200
    hub ?? hub is for outboard drum mount and it floats !!!
    i really hope this helps someone with their brake s
    oh !! i used a speedway disc kit on the front , so i still have 5 on 5 1/2 lugs all around

    Wow, Thanks for posting, this is just what I needed, besides 87-96 ford F-150 rear brakes are alot easier to find than decent 39-41 Ford.
