Originally I had a low pressure hydraulic switch that only worked when
braking action occurred, not when I touched the pedal.

I decided to put in a mechanical lever switch for a '49 - '52 Chebby based
    on fellow HAMBERs advice.

I spent a little extra time with the wiring and added a pigtail for the old pressure switch that I left in place and I now have the best of both worlds...............a mechanical lever action switch that lights up the ***-end of my Model A when I barely touch the pedal, and a low pressure hydraulic switch for back-up (no pun intended).

    COOL!

I would like to thank everyone that tried to help me with my brakelight switch problem. Good night!

So what happens when both switches go bad at the same time? Are you going to add a third switch just in case?:):D
