howdy hambers, ive got a '47 3/4 ton chevy pickup and im going to convert the brakes all the way around to the bendix brake setup. i was just wondering if it would be a bad thing to use 1/2 ton backing plates, hubs and drums off of a 1956 chevy 1/2 ton on the front end. another question ive got, i'm not too sure if ive got to change out the spindles to 1/2 ton as well. i know it doesnt make much sense to go from 3/4 to 1/2 ton but its just what ive got to work with. any thoughts on this matter would be helpful. thanks.

yeah thats what i get for thinking! hahaha! half ton parts wont interchange with the 3/4 ton stuff back to square one, i know the 3/4 ton bearings arent the same size as 1/2 ton bearings, shouldve known that but i called my brother who works at a napa parts house just to make sure. gotta find a late 50's 3/4 ton truck donor truck for all the brake stuff. im gonna make this work one way or another!
