    Hey everyone!

I'm Kyle, and I'll be picking up a 1953 Ford Customline I-6 (number matching) this coming Friday!

The body is in decent shape, it'll need new floor pans and a tiny piece of sheet work. The dash is 100% complete and functional. The inline 6 is working properly, three speed grabs gears smoothly, brakes are darn near modern feeling. I'm pretty excited about this car, I've built quite a few off-road vehicles but never anything like this. My uncle has restored a 65 GTO and a 34 Packard 8 and they both win shows all the time so it got me hooked. I'm not very familiar with how the forum works, so if there is a certain section to start the build thread, please let me know.

    Thanks!
P.S. if there is a convenient way to upload photos I'd be happy to hear it.

  2. Welcome to the H.A.M.B. Sounds like a great start. Feel free to ask questions. And hope you post some photos of your 53. The general discussion is a good place for a build thread. Or here for some intro shots. Thanks Ron...

I'd swear that this forum is to do what it says at the top...INTRODUCE YOURSELF...not your cars...
and newbies don't ever put a location on their profile page...might help of you need some local help once in a while...

Welcome aboard and good luck with your project. Heres the "rule" in question

    4. While we don't require "introductions," some members do appreciate them so it might be a good idea for you to do one here. Just introduce yourself and let folks know what you are all about.

But most are here for cars so don't sweat the hazing, from some.

Ha-ha, I said my name, my car background, the reason why I got into it. If you want a detailed history we can talk.

But definitely thanks for the heads up on location. My profile should be updated now with more info.

Thanks for the info. Once I get started I'll start up a thread with some pictures.

    we don't restore cars here.

Hey Rick, that's what I was going to say. Actually Ford Barn is said to have some actual restorers who omg actually put old Fords back stock.
Nothing wrong with a little 53 Ford with a straight six in it though. Dead nuts reliable if you take care of it
