This is my favorite lol, when ever I have had probs on the side of the road it was always something that required tools that I did not have with me so I always had to tow it regardless, so I just stopped carrying tools, they just take up space that something else could go in.

    HECK!

I just take the complete tool box full of tools and mount it on the back of the car when I go more than a mile from home ... especially when I drive on the beach...

I stopped carrying spare parts. It seemed like something worse than whatever parts I had, always broke. After I spit a rearend, 40 miles from nowhere, I quit carrying parts.

A couple things I carry that save a lot of room/weight....I got this little 2.5 X 4 in rubber thingie at a hardware store sale table for $4 one time, holds 40 tips for screwdriver, incl hex, torx, extension, and whatever you wanna put in there. Is white, and made by Black and Decker, came loaded with tips too. Also my original Leathermans, and the lid off of one of those poly storage boxes. Mine is about 20 X 40 inches, center of it is indented (made that way). can put greasy/dirty parts on it to haul them around and the indentation keeps the trunk clean, and if I have a flat, put that down on the ground to stay clean (cause I never have a flat when I'm in my grubbies). Works for me!

    :D

  9. Lots of wire and jumper cables. You can fix any electrical problem, tie things up that fell off or broke, get the car running if the battery goes dead and if all else fails double the jumper cables up and use as a toe rope.
