How do I remove the breather (upright) tube from my 8BA Intake manifold. Is the D*#@ thing soldered or brazed in or what? I can't get it to budge.

It should just be pressed in try using a strap wrench on it and some penetrating oil at the base. Some light tapping with a plastic hammer may also help.

Cool, thanks. It must have been a real tight fit. I have bumped, thumped and heated it but it won't move.

It's fermenting in PB Blaster. Thanks all.
I have a tube that I believe came off of a 49 Merc. intake. But it's a smaller diameter tube.
