I got tickets to the Dec 10 show at La Zona Rosa. I know it's the same day as the HotRod Rev. But has anybody seen him live?
I went to a Christmas Big band show maybe two years ago. About 2 1/2 hours of non-stop entertainment. And 45 minutes of trio in the middle. Killer show. But the house sound system sucked.
I'm pissed he's not coming to Dallas. I also saw the christmas show a couple years ago in Ok. The man puts on a show, have a blast.
I caught him down in Myrtle Beach, SC with BR-549 opening about 11 years ago. Totally by coincidence, my Dad and I were on vacation golfing down there and we were looking for something to do. Setzer is an absolute animal on guitar. If you think his playing is technical on his albums, he's just as good live or better. The only guitar player I've seen in person who beats him is Clapton.
Was at Chastain Park in Atlanta a few years ago. Awesome show. Had a V.I.P. parking section for hot rods.
Brian brought his Rockabilly Riot tour to Helsinki on the 22nd of July and that was an unforgettable night. The man and his band played like possessed and Slim Jim was also there. Got to see Setzer on stage! Pasi
I saw him with the Stray Cats in 81 when they opened for the Rolling Stones and he was fantastic. I really want to see him with his Big Band,
I caught him with Tom Petty a while back. I didn't realize it was him on the ticket. One of the best shows I have seen, the man is an entertainer.
If his drummer is still Tony Pia, tell him Ric Panneton from North Hills Community Church says hi. He has been the drummer there off and on for years and was the stand in worship leader for a year or so while the church was looking for another.
I saw the Stray Cats in 81 also. The other band was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, You will talk about this for a while.
Going to see him in Columbia, Mo. December 6 at The Blue Note. Pretty small venue for him, but i'm not complaining. Always wanted to see him & never had the chance. I'm pretty stoked to say the least!!!
Seen him play a few times with his Big Band and caught his show at The Brixton Academy with the Stray cats back in 2004 just before I moved to the US.
Saw Brian at the Mohegan Sun casino when he still had the big band. Dude was smokin'. Then again, so were we.
