Bring back van nuys

What happened to the 107 page 2 year old van nuys thread ???????????

 

Good question.....

 

I'll be there tonight as I am every month but this was the place to see who is going and where to meet up..... Sad sad if it wasn't for Reid and the HAMP Van Nuys cruising would have never come back

 

Yeah i couldn't find it either. so lets start a new thread. I was out there in my 70 Chevelle last nite was good to see the car count was up.

 

Ryan what would it take to bring it back ???? Lots of great history was posted lots of great pictures, what do you say bring it back ??????

 

Dont know where the thread went, but id love to see that old movie, "Van nuys blvd".
Havent seen it since i was a teenager. loved it. proberbly chessy now, lol.

Well then this looks to be the new thread about Van Nuys.

 

He brought it back and then closed it for being too O/T so look for this one to go the way of the DoDo bird as well.
Funny since that was the 12th most responded to thread in HAMB history.

 

I think deleting some OT posts and offer a warning would've been more appropriate for such a hi profile thread.

 

As if you and the rest of the guys didn't realize the HAMB's focus is tradtional styled rod and customs not '70 Chevelles and such.

 

OK so I do have a car from the 70's not a HAMP friendly year. Van Nuys attracted many HAMP friendly cars and many HAMP members. If you look at the board you have dozens of post about Van Nuys. I know the board is not a public forum, it is privately owned and can do as it pleases but man why let it go for so long with so many people enjoying that threat, then all of a sudden BAM gone ????? If the members didn't enjoy the threat it would have died way before it ever reached the 107 pages and almost 2 year running. Lots of great pictures, lots of people who haven't hooked up in years getting together and now lost, gone , can it come back ???? Only Ryan can decide

 

Chevelles are gay, wrong forum dude. regardless, Ryan brought the thread back and just locked it. You can still view it in all your OT joy.

 

Cruising Van Nuys Blvd is a lot more traditional than some guy building yet another fake deuce.......

and your use of the word "threat" is very interesting.

some threads evolve over time, the more the conversation drifts from what the intent of this board is the more likely it will be closed or deleted

that thread drifted too far and for too long.

 

I think the thread was more focused on CRUISING as a whole. Something that's dying out. Something that's fun. Something that the young probly never got to experience. And I think cruising...no matter what cars are involved....is HAMB appropriate...long as it does include HAMB cars. If it wasn't cool, it wouldn't have lasted so long.....here.......and it did last long......here. And if it gets covered, it gets covered as a whole.....and that would pretty much have to include talk about OT cars that show up as well as HAMB cars. Again, a warning might've been tried prior to closing the thread.

I finally heard from Ryan...He put the thread back up but has closed it as we all know. He said the last three pages were all fighting (That's news to me). He is tired of having to monitor the page due to all of the fighting. I haven'yt seen the trash talk in over a year and told him that's just good ol' fashion VNB street race talk anyway...Nothing new to us. Seems the only ones disturbed were the powers that be...
