Hi Hammers ! I am planning on bringing in some trailer parts from Canada to the US. The person will be giving me a bill of sale for the parts. I am not sure what to expect at the border. Has anyone recently brought in parts and what should I be ready for coming back. Any recent experiences would be most appreciated. Mercuryguy

The guy from Canada will fill out the papers. I don't think there is anything for you to do.

  3. I know if you are going the other way all you do is tell the guy at the booth you have them - depending on the value they may send you into the secondary inspection area to pay the sales tax on the converted value- that's it no fancy paperwork
As long as the parts are for you and not for commercial resale I can't imagine it being any different.

As Asphalt Angel said s long as you have a bill and are not bringing back huge quantities I wouldn't think you need to do anything other than tell them what you have. If there are any applicable taxes or duties they may make you pay them and then send you on your way.
