Briz bumpers contact number

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Fatstang, Nov 14, 2008.

  1. I remember seeing an ad at one time for Briz bumpers that said they can arc there bumpers for your particular application if you sent them a template. I haven't had any luck find the contact information for them but I seem to remember once seeing that they are in Nor Cal or Oregon. Any help?

  3. They aren't my first choice but I haven't found an alternative that I can afford. My 46 Ford Tudor has 2 1/2" wider then stock fenders in the rear. The stock length doesn't look right. The first attempt at widening the bumper by cutting up and welding sections from two bumpers looked ok until they were plated. I've had it reworked and replated a second time and still doesn't look right (the guy the did the work footed the bill for the rework). He's trying to do the right thing, but I think he's out of his league and doing this right is surely not a talent I possess. I want them shiney and straight. The arc is basically right and it looks ok from 20 feet but I'm tried at throwing money at this. I talked to Nashville plating and they said they could probalably straighten it up but I got cold feet when they asked me for a Swiss bank account number.

  4. Started by a helluva nice guy, Mark Brizlawn. He and my dad were buddies. (My dad passed away) I think his son runs the company now..

Great local company run by hot rodders. Mark Brislawn sold it to a friend years ago who has run the business great. Neat people and good products.

Bought some of their high dollar hub caps for 32-35 wire wheels. Excellent quality. However, they're still doing business like they did in the fifties. No credit cards, PayPal and orders are held until personal checks clear the bank. I sent a cashier's check and still waited 3 weeks plus for the goods. Checks generally clear in less than a week.

Again, great products, poor business practices.

I have had one on my coupe for about 15 years. I love the looks of it. They have to be polished CONSTANTLY to keep them looking good. It's also soft aluminum, so you have to be careful not to nick/scratch it. I caught mine on my garage wall once and bent the hell out of it. I took it to a local bumper shop to see if they could straighten it. They would touch it, because they were afraid to make it worse. My buddy took it to work and in about an hour with a couple of wooden blocks and a hydrualic press had it good as new. So they do bend easily...weither it's for good or bad. :)
