    Glad to hear Broadway Bob is doing better. I spent many happy weekends at GLD in the 70s and 80s regardless of how the car was running.

    Broadway Bob and my buddy Francis at Da Grove, May 2006.

    I remember the pig roasts and free beer in earlier years, should say kinda remember. Broadway knows how to throw a party. Good to hear he is doing better.

    this is the kind of post that is difficult to post. I know there are people that are interested in Bob's condition, it's not good. Bob's "living health care person", Doug, has been keeping us informed of Bob's condition, here is Doug's current report;

    To The Friends of Broadway Bob:

    Bill Bower and I were in at ManorCare today Tuesday July 17th 2012 to sign up Broadway Bob for Ho****e Care. There job is to keep Broadway as comfortable as possible. Broadway Bob’s friend Ron Leek showed up for a visit too.

    His vital signs were stable today but His health has declined a lot over the last three weeks. He was in bed all day today vary unresponsive with no appe***e . We had a hard time getting him to drink water through a straw. His condition is very poor, we don’t know what the future holds for him but we are doing our best to keep him comfortable.

    We still want to keep Sunday August 12th 1:pM to 4:pM open for a summer get-together hoping his condition will improve. I will keep you all posted.

    Thanks to all the Friends for your prayers, support and kind words.

    Blessings, Dougie

    I was at the track yesterday. Of course his joint was dark. It is an inevitable end to a legacy. Thanks for keeping us informed, Curt

    Dear Friends of Broadway Bob,

    I was in to see Broadway Bob today Thursday July 26th 2012 and It is the opinion of the Ho****e Nurses and Nurse Mary at Manor Care that Broadway Bob is approaching his final days. Of course, they cannot predict how long he will be with us but his physical condition show that the end is nearing. They are giving him medications to keep him comfortable so that he is not in pain.

    Please continue to include Broadway in your prayers. If possible, keep the August 12th Get-Together date on your calendar, but the actual plans may change depending upon the cir***stances. I will be sure to keep you posted as things develop.

    Thank you for your prayers, care and concern for Broadway Bob.

    Blessings, Dougie...................
