Broke my car while trying to get lucky

I had a 67 Mustang, 351C, FMX trans w/shift kit, 8 inch w/4.11s. I drag raced the car, and had jsut spent the weekend doing so.

We got back to the local watering hole, and this hot blond keeps going on and on about her brothers 76 Camaro. Blah blah blah. So I told her to get in and take a small ride. I backed the car out onto the street (very rural area in MT at the time), and began a nasty burnout. After a while, I let off the brake, and let her go. Shifted HARD into second. Two things happened then. One, my engine wound up to about 6500 RPM, so I let off. I gave it the juice again, and the car shot back up to 6500 (rev limiter). I thought I was in neutral, till I checked the shfter. Nope. Definately in 2nd. Stopped the car, andput it in Drive. Nothing. Hit the gas a bit, and I could hear the gears in the diff grinding away. Reverse worked. SO, I backed it up about 500 meters in reverse. The blonde chick laughing and mocking me, "My brothers Camaro..." I was PISSED! I had blown all drive gears in the trans, and fragged my ring and pinion gears. 8 inchers can only take so much abuse. Well, we get back to the bar, in reverse, and she goes to get out. CLUNK. THe fuc*ing door handle fell off in her hand. She was literally crying laughing. Me, not so much.

THings worked out in the end, I think it may have been pity. FWIW, I DID getthe chance to scare her half to death, when I put the 9 inch and built C5 in it. She then told me that my car was definately WAY faster than her brothers, and not quite such a POS.

Things work out in the end. Worst thing about it is, she'll get over it. Try it out again.

And don't give me the BS about saving up money to get out on your own. Just imagine the fun you could have roomin with a coupke other guys like yourself.

Just had me wondering because I had to sideswipe a concrete median while doing about 65 to push my front clip over enough that the fan shroud pushed the fan into the power steering pump pully boss (ruining the fan) and bent the water pump shaft (ruining the water pump). Would have been nice if I'd been distracted by a nice set of ***s for that one, I wouldn't have minded fixing the damned thing quite so much.

 

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! That's the funniest thing I've seen all week. Cl***ic reaction.

 

Yeah fell out the door while going at it with an ex in my coupe. As someone posted before I finished up and leaned back against the door and the latch must not have been engaged and i fell out on to the ground laughing hysterically! Its ok though we were together another 2 months afterward so everything mustve been ok!

 

are you sure this wasn't a girl who looked like a beached whale? could have overloaded the car to begin with,then the pothole finished it off.
