@L79_Acadian hasn’t been here for near two weeks, I’m curious if this issue got resolved or?

Yes, they probably would......but then you have to wonder why if they are using some other well known cam, why isn't that company the one giving out free shirts. I'd wear a free one..........

Free shirts, caps etc. would be good. Selling shirts etc. with the company logo makes far less sense to me as a customer, the company wants me to pay for advertising their brand for them? That's not how advertising works.

That's exactly how it works. They get you (the consumer) to buy a product with their name on it, then you're advertising for them. It doesn't matter whether it's a shirt, hat, intake manifold, valve covers, air cleaner, wheels, etc., the #1 reason to have the manufacturer name visible on it is to entice others to buy the same brand.

When you see people on those race shows on TV wearing a shirt with "Precision Turbos", "Isky Cams", etc., it's because they're in a partnership with the company. That person wearing that shirt is getting products or discounts in exchange for repping the brand. It's a business arrangement. If they can get the consumer to buy a product AND then effectively advertise for them, that's a double win.

  7. For what it's worth.....45 years ago I installed a Crane cam in my 327, used their break-in lube and did the required 20-30 minute break in. In less than a week the cam went flat. I was pissed! They sent me a new cam and lifters at no cost to me and after taking the engine back down to bare block I had it cleaned......the new cam worked as advertised....

  8. I had issues with an (actually two) Edel---ck cam. Since then I have ground their name and any other identifying marks off their aluminum intakes (which were purchased used). I refuse to advertise for a company that I have lost faith in.

    Regrind? Yes.
I put a "known good" used cam and lifters in the most recent engine I built (this year.) Running, driving; so far, so good. Glad I did it. Engine before that (last year) I put a reground cam in it, measured it up between centers and it was spot on. Run ins on the run stand all good; fingers crossed. Need to poke it in the car and drive it.
