Broken Dream Cruise update

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by roadstar, Aug 9, 2005.

  1. Spent a couple of hours at Jeffs place last night and help out with the waaaaay cool collector poster he and Heather made. You are deffanitly gonna want to have one of these babys for your memoribilia collection.

Three color silkscreened over flaked panels, on masonite, too cool for words. Here's a pic to drool over.

Looks like all systems are go for Sunday Aug 14 at Jeffs spacious estate.

Pleanty of room to park lots of cars. I figured the back yard alone is larger than the old parking lot at the tatoo shop. Nice green gr*** and beautiful shade trees as a bonus this year :D

So bring your hotrod and leave the at***ude, and eat drink and be merry with the DEADBEATS.

This year promises to be better than ever ( we've had 5 years of practice) ;)

Look forward to meeting unbeliveably talented stripers, tatoo artest, and car builders from all over the world.

Feel free to PM me for more details and directions.

DEADBEATS RULE....But you knew that right

Hey. What was the story on this? Wasn't it something along the lines of "If you are a past participant, please join us. If not, wait until next year. This is only a pilot program." Or something along those lines?

  3. Most everyone is welcome. PM me for details.

Any idea on the times for this function?

I doubt I'll be able to attend due to prior obligations, but it's worth checking into I suppose...

  10. Damn Rudy...you beat me to it! :D

I can't wait to see these posters in person! I know Jeff and Heather...and even Jeff's daughter Katie!...have been bustin *** on them. The good news for HAMBers that won't be there...we're gonna save one poster, have it all striped up up and auction it off on the HAMB, for the HAMB!

Here's a little group shot of some them....

You gonna save only one for the auction????????

  12. When I talked to Jeff, saving just one was the final decision at that time. He's not printing hundreds of these things...they're printed on masonite, with auto paints...metalics and chandies! these are NOT your average show poster!!! Every year Jeff takes the poster up to a new level...he's screwed for next year. :D

Here's last year's poster...screend on meta blanks and then speed-aged...

  15. Joel, I was informed by Jeff that "You better be there"

So you better try REAL hard.

    Thanks Denise!
My phone message from Jeff was just that Roadstar had called and wanted to get the parts out of his truck----I still have no idea how the actual transaction/transportation went! You guys said you'd handle it and I didn't give it a second thought 'cause I knew it would get done! :)
All propper credit will be given on Sunday.

Those posters rock! Great job to everyone who worked on those! What if you dont have a car to bring? I also heard this was like an "invite" only, past participant deal as well. I dont want to piss anyone off if I show up. What time does it start/end? Should people bring anything? Thanks!

Correction, you and I meet up at the Rochester show, about 2 hours AFTER the breakfast Meet and Greet time.

I don't believe I will be planning a Breakie meet. I've had a lack of sleep lately. I'm choosing to sleep in on Sunday morning. I'll see you on Woodward this weekend.;)

I'm sure it will be going on well into the evening. Perhaps you could stop by later on?

I'd love to, but there's a surprise party for my Grandmother's 80th birthday at 2pm, and it will probably be an all day adventure. My family is pretty well known around these parts; they're planning for about 300 people to show up!

As a side note: It's at my family's "park", Filpansick Pond. It's about 1/2 mile off of the road in the woods, with a 3 1/2 acre pond (with dock & diving board), a pavilion, outhouses, fire pit, bbq grills, volleyball court, swingsets, merry-go-round slide, etc...

It gets reserved pretty frequently for weddings, open houses, etc., but I can have parties back there pretty much anytime I want. Since I wont be able to make the BDK, maybe we can have another hot rod related BBQ there sometime. Hell, we could even make it an overnighter if we wanted to.... plenty of space for tents. If only we could find a summer weekend that DIDN'T have something going!
