I'm going...hoping to meet up with a bunch of people Saturday evening and I heard rumor about a breakfast meeting. This is the first time I've had my head out of the books for almost a year (38 y/o full time student due to another corporate downsizing ). Bringing my dad along...it's been a while since he went to a cruise and he is show signs that the "car bug" has come out of remission! Looks like he made reservations at the Red Roof Inn in Battlecreek.
I plan to be there, and I will likely caravan with a few non-HAMBer friends. Hope to see ya'll there. -Joe
The Mid-Michigan gang willl be represented by myself, Fuelpump,Donzie,Hot Rod Tom, and Midland Chris so far. We plan on getting an early start so we can power park in the prime spots. I'm hoping for the spot right next to Big Olds (cookies). Frank

Frank, I was at the shop yesterday getting tattooed by Jime' and talking about Sunday with him and Jeff both...we were going over the parking lot situation, because there's some construction going on that's "supposed" to be done before the show... they are already planning on putting you guy's and the Flint guy's in your "usual" spot, in front of the mexican resturant, if that's cool with you guy's. Something different this year tho, Jeff is working on dash plaques with the poster artwork on them,...YOU MUST HAVE A TRADITIONAL STYLED CAR TO GET INTO THE PREFERRED PARKING AREA!!!!, and to get your dash plaque! Everyone else will be kindly advised to park on the side streets. You guy's know the drill: Pre-'65 No billet No tweed No Pro Street NO ATTITUDES!...yada, yada, yada.... It's looking like it's gonna be another big show, with several new cars showing up...see you guy's there.
Well, I HAVE to be there, being the Grand Puba of the Mid-Michigan Chapter of Gay Bitches of Michigan! I hope my Fezz is back from the dry cleaners in time. Besides, I wanna show off my new ride, Fine 'line. Sounds like we've got some HAMBers coming from the far ends of the earth to be there, sure wouldn't wanna miss that.

Randy, Thanks for thinkin of us on the parking. I'll try to hit another bird this year to add to the ornimemts on the shoebox Ray's gonna lay some lines on it that day too. Is there gonna an "offical" pinstripe area or do we do where we park. The reason I ask is it always draws a crowd cause people like to see those guys at work.

The girls running the gate at BilletProof were a little lax in their discrection at what they let in, mainly, if it looked like an "old car", they let it in,...that's not gonna happen here,...nothing personal!...just be forwarned, you'll be told if you can park in the shop lot or not, and, only traditional style cars get the dash plaques....
GOD HATES ME! I just had to cancel my flight to Detroit (have to stay here and secure the house, dogs, barn, GF) Hurricane Charley is planning on being here Friday afternoon. 110 mph, 10 foot storm surge, boats on people front lawns, mobile home uprooted, you know, just another day in paradise. I can re-schedule a flight before Sept 15th with no extra charge, so I'm thinking of coming up the next weekend so it isn't a total loss. I know there won't be many HAMBers in town because of the Drags, but who will be there? Not neccessarily at the WDC, but just in town for a beer/coffee and BS? Mr.Gasser? Roadstar? Fuel Pump? I'm gonna try my damndest to talk Fat Hack into staying home and hanging with me, but I'd understand if didn't. I'm truly bummed that 4t64rd won't be comming into town tomorrow, had a nice warm reception planned for him at the airport, too! (Involving German Shepherds, big guys with guns and latex gloves! ) I can grab the spindles for ya Mikey...I live a hiccup away from Denise, and will probably see her and the Crew at Sears on Friday night. HRTH, your car is older than 65...there were a few mid 60s rides (and one primered Camaro!) there last year...hope ya can make it down! It's a great time...Mr Gasser is a Helluva host, walked right up and greeted me last year...you'd be hard pressed to meet a cooler HAMB Dude!
