Broken Magnesium Halibrand 201 quick change

A friend has an original magnesium Halibrand 201 quick change center with an early Culver City cover aluminum cover. No axles or bells. The quick change is dis***embled and is cracked at the pinion support. He also has a bucket full of gears for it. I'd like to make an offer on it but, I don't know what it's worth. Keep in mind it would also need to be repaired and converted to open drive shaft.
