Been playing with the new stroker in the 56 trying to get it dialed in. It was running good, then I started noticing a loss of power one day and hearing a strange rattling noise. I parked until I could investigate. Finally pulled the valve cover thinking the rockers were ticking and need adjustment, this is what I found  It was just laying there...luckily appears to be no damage, push rod is perfectly straight

Apparently you have lived a clean and frugal life. With my checkered past I'd never be allowed to be as lucky as you! Looks like an easy fix. Be sure to say "thank you" to the Big Guy for being so kind to you. It could'a been real messy.

No joke...I am known for NOT having that kind of luck, so I feel pretty good about it. I stopped by comp cams since they are local and picked up a new stud and polylock, gonna put it and hope it stays!
