Any HAMBers from the Denver / Ft. Collins area? I am coming to CO for a GIS training course at the Telvent/Miner & Miner facilities (just off of the interstate near Ft. Collins) Just wondering if there is anything cool to do while I am on my own time (after 5:00-6:00pm). I will be there all week - next week July 16-20th. Let me know what's up man. I plan to try & hit a micro brew or a bar sometime. Not looking to get plowed or anything - I am just a fan of beer But if you can point out any car related stuff - or whatever - I'd really dig it. Thanks alot.
No car stuff that I know about between the 16th & 20th. Although, you should try to check out the New Belgium Brewery, you wont be too far from it!
That's where I will be...even closer than Streamline.... Sweet. Keep 'em coming. If you live near anything cool - even just a good food joint - give me a holler.
Hey, I just looked this up on Google Earth....there are TWO New Belgium Brew. Co.s in the City of Ft. Collins. Should I go to the one just off Interstate 25 Or should I go on into town and hunt down the one at Linden & Buckingham? Thanks for anyone who has helped.
I am not sure; I know that the brewery just recently moved. Check here for more info and tours: http://www.newbelgium.com/index.php I hear that the tour is pretty cool. Oh, and Pinkies Rod Shop would be a good choice too. Have fun!
Sounds like you are going to be right be Pinkee's. Definately worth stopping in and saying hi to those guys. For the mocro brew action, take HWY14 west into 'Old Town' and there's several within walking distance of each other. -CC-
New Belgium's tasting room is right at the front of their plant on Linden Street. They serve five free small, but good samples of their brew. 1/4 mile away is Odell's brewery at 800 E. Lincoln--they also have tours and some sampling. IMO their beer is even better than New Belgium's. Downtown Fort Collins always has stuff going on. Good junkyards not too far away with Martin's just west of Greeley also Speedway further to the south near Dacono. Both are great places to check out the vintage tin.
