Just looking at the POR 15 site and they have a gold engine paint - anyone have pics of a roadster with a gold or bronze engine. Im thinking gold and silver/grey for the manifolds. BTW how do you prep an aluminium engine so the paint'll adhere? Normal etch primer'll burn off right? POR!% have a product they call Marine Prep.

I did mine in plasti-cote brand engine paint, looked real good for about 3 months then it dulled out. And all the oil drips and such showed up...gonna pull it sometime and redo it black. Good luck!

To get the paint to stick to aluminum, just clean it extremely well, and hit it with epoxy primer. Great adhesion, and will stand up to the heat.
Nor sure what Marine Prep is, but don't use a "metal prep" that is made for steel, on aluminum. If it's only a concentrated cleaner, OK. but not an acid based metal conditioner.

Coupe de cab's motor is in gold as well. It's got to be one of the nicest shades of gold I've ever seen on a motor!

Here's my old ****box. I kinda liked the gold engine with the dark blue other stuff.

I REALLY like Lost Angel's Nailhead.
