    I would've hoped somone would at least make a rolling burnout going up that road... ;)

    For fellow Mac'ers who have problems viewing (streaming) WMV-movies and such, try installing this QuickTime-plugin overhere;

    http://www.flip4mac.com/wmv_download.htm

    Did it a couple of months back and works like a charm for me. No more crappy MS Mediaplayer-stuff.

    well i got it to work thanks to Dutchy pointing me in the direction for the new intel mac flip4mac plugins. i'm too lazy to look it up myself.

    but the video was pretty cool. was the hill super steep? cause i'm not sure what was that impressive, i mean the cars were badass and it's sure nice to hear them...but not much else going on there is it?

    The visit to Brooklands was just part of the Hayride weekend. There were too nights of bands and burlesque girls back at the camp, not to mention shit-loads of shenanigans.
    Brooklands has a very important role in motor-racing history, see http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/motoring_history.cfm for more info. Malcolm Campbell built his Bluebird cars there, one of which took the land speed record at Bonneville. Being allowed to take our cars up their test hill (dated 1909, btw) was almost a religious experience for many of us. The hill itself has a 1-in-4 gradient at the top and is a real test.

    oh, i think i missed the test hill bit about it. that's very interesting. i can see why it would be such an experience. wish i could've been there. the tickets to england have gotten so expensive lately. i remember a few years ago being able to get there for about $300 round trip or less.
