I have a friend who was talking to the Brookville guys about a Brookville 32 3W coupe. They said they had produced something like 450 or so ( according to them ). He asked how many 32 roadster and the guy said between 1500 and 1600 32 roadsters. This was over a year and a half ago. So you know the number is higher today, but most likely not a bunch. SO Charles ... What did you decide ?? 32 or Model A ???
You can thank Roy Fjastad, the original owner of the Deuce Factory for that . He produced the original reproductions of '32 rails.
Go for the 32. I've done somewhere around 15 Brookville deuce roadsters in various stages from finished cars to rollers, bought some bodies ***embled and put some of them together. I've always been rewarded for the extra money spent on the 32 body.
This is a fact that seems to have been forgotten. I have one of Roy's originals under my 29'. At the time I believe there was a 32' frame offered with welded then smoothed down reveals?
The 32,s were sought after from the time they were built to now. They were the first V8,s, and a one year only offering. They were hard to find when I got my first car, in the 50,s.[30 A model]. But if you found one you could sometimes get a really good deal. The 32 bods are premium bodies, more complicated to build and also they are priced reasonably considering market value for a popular item. they havnt raised prices much since they were introduced and if you build one you are guaranteed good return if you sell it.
Charles, i have a gl*** rdster and a steel coupe and i have acrods rdster and its a fantastic expoxy shell. I have worked on wescotts and other gl*** body manufactures and theres is exc. And about 6000. Rich ps great caddy
....This thread is over 3 yrs. old. I'm guessing the decision has been made by now. Heck the car may be completed and on the road by now. Just sayin'
Just a note. If you are capable you can purchase all the pieces and ***emble it your self and save 2-3K. That's what I did. And in case your wondering their direct replacement parts aren't !! I have lots and lots of hours making their parts fit their parts.
