Just when I think I know my brother, he says he's long since wanted a '55 Chevy like Bob Falfa's (never knew he was a big "American Graffiti" fan, but I guess if I was watching it over and over around him... ). He's in Lake Arrowhead, was wondering what would be the best shop to have it done, once he's found The One. I suggested he find one with the drivetrain rebuilt 'n set but one in need of a paint job, as an open canvas for what he wants.
He's got car buds, too, but they're al into rice burners. The guy needs an education. [IMG]
Anyone around here lookin' to sell theirs? Wants to sell his Mini first, but is lookin' for one whose heart has been totally rebuilt. Maybe there's a rod shop near Arrowhead. I remember some in Upland, not sure if they're still there.
It's weird, I grew up in So Cal, but have grown fuzzy as to sources for him to check out, outside the ol' Recycler. When's the next Pomona swap meet?
Meanwhile, his older brother's relieved for a cheap '82 Volvo as a dependable runner 'til the hot rod project's road worthy again. [IMG]
