That's a sweet find! I'll trade you one mid fifties ugly for another. Don't I wish . I can't wait to see where this project goes. Love the '56 Olds, one of my most favored rides.

If any of you guys with a '56 Oldsmobile are interested in a 35 page PDF of what was done to my Dad's '56's drivetrain, suspension and engine compartmant, including photos with captions, feel free to email me at Denise.Sheldon@mybrighthouse.com

    Love these models, awesome car.

  9. From what I saw in the one we had, steering clearance is going to be your big issue. Very tight on the left side, especially if yours has a factory power steering unit. You might be better off to see if a Saginaw 805 box will work on there (they're easy to adapt to the Pontiac) and use a couple U-joints to get past.... maybe having to use a 403 or 307 manifold on that side (I'm not sure if those would fit) from an early 80s car to give you the room, too.

been woking on the motor and have ran into a few problems, like always right? Im working on the pickup tube now and got the oil pan finished today its not pretty but it held full of gas over night without any leaks so it will do its job.

got the motor painted and put back together this week. Should be able to get it back in the car for good this week and start working on the few patch panels that are needed.

Yes, he's still working on it. Doubt that he'll sell it.
