I did like the back of the old seat but it didn't come out of this car or matched any of the completed work done by the previous owner. We also ran into problems with the bolt of material I had so plans changed.

Don,The car looks great. Nice that you just picked up where the old timer left off and kept it the way he was headed.

Hey Don, I had 2 phone calls this week telling me I should see the sweet 34 Mild to Wild is doing. Ya got people talking about it now that it's here in town!
Course I had to check it out while I was there picking up some parts, first time I've seen it in person. They are right, it is a sweet car!

Here's the finished interior. I wanted to keep in the same style that the last owner had started in the 70's. Changed it to a diamond pattern instead of the squares.

I drove it around a little. Still have some bugs to work out. Steering is really hard, brakes need adjusting, and the ****** won't go into first gear from neutral without grinding. Hopefully just needs some adjustment.

  17. Very cool. I didn't look to see what ****** you had but if it is the non-synchro, try shifting into 2nd and then 1st? That's what I do in my '54 to keep it from grinding.

Finally got the F1 steering box rebuilt and installed and everything back together.
Not a bolt on project. The box is really close to the header but if I moved it over it rubs the clutch pedal. A F100 box would have worked better. I'll know this next time.

Coming right along... A set of Coker Firestones and a dropped axle and I'd call it done.

Did a couple of little things today. Fixed a few things, adjusted the brakes and went for a short drive.

Put on a spare tire cover.
