Haven’t heard a peep from you for a while. Miss our conversations, our problem solving discussions. Everything alright. Jim / 2many projects Sent from my iPad using H.A.M.B.
Sancho searched faster than I did. it is Fischer rather than Fisher though. Want to guess how many different Bruces there are on here lol.
He's probably still tryin to clean the Pecker Tacks off the Velour seats in the wagon he's workin on!
Come on Bruce, post something so we can get back to the usual program. You must have been doing something interesting we all want to here about.
Is he still helping to take care of his Step-Son? He might be in Florida. Just speculation. Hope he's alright. Bruce is a good soul.
I chatted with him back in July, and his son had just gone back to Florida about then. He posted here last month, workin on a Buick wagon. PM him, he'll prolly get back with you.
Shot him a pm just now. His last activity was this am. I'm sure we'll hear from the station wagon man soon.
He was fishing in North Carolina, dodged the brunt of the storm. He's back but always busy working on his stable of cars.
I got a PM from Bruce this morning, his step son Robert was well enough to return to Florida and is able to go back to work again. Bruce found a wagon, it's off topic and he's working on it, the Buick wagon will be his daily driver. He has also taken a part time job as a drive at the local parts house where he has been doing business since he has been in the mountains. He is looking at the hamb but not posting much,he also ask me to let everyone know he's OK. HRP
Thanks for that update, Danny. Glad he's OK and especially glad that his step-son has made such good progress. I think the collective prayers of the HAMB Family were being heard.
Bruce just returned my pm. Guys like him can't seem to sit still! The driving job has him in good spirits. A plus is he now gets paid to look for old cars as he's working. He plans to get back into something pre '64 when the winter's over.
............Wow, that is so true! I serviced a consignment brake pad route for a short period of time and it's amazing just how many interesting cars are tucked into the back portions of various shops just waiting to be put back into service. These were cars that I would never have seen if I didn't have access to the back rooms of shops where we kept our racks for brake pads.
The job sounds like a good opportunity to take some photos and upload them to the 'Sitting and Rotting' thread. IIRC, his latest Wagon is of topic so that may leave him reasons to not (be able to) post.
I agree Don. Been running local shop parts for Napa, part-time since retiring a few years ago. Keeps me in the loop, & the stuff tucked away here & there always has a story. Hope Bruce is doing well.
