Its almost time! 4th Annual Blacktop Barons Road Block

So I thought it would be a good idea to put all the info out here in one spot. We have been busting our rumps getting things ready this year and I think your gonna like what we put together. Heres what we got.

1. All the proceeds go to the Muscular Dystrophy ***ociation.
2. We will again be having the show at the Lyon Farm Historical Village in Yorkville Illinois. The site is very rustic with about a dozen 19th century buildings and the car show is right in the middle.
3. On top of the car show we also have a TON of Vintage Drag Cars, G***ers, FEDs and Memorabilaia from Oswego Dragway going to be there. There is going to be cars people haven't seen since the 60's there.

4. We have 3 bands and Steamroller Smith for your listening pleasure. They are:
The Dyes:http://www.myspace.com/thedyes
If you haven't seen them yeat get ready for some roots infused Garage Rock. If you like the Cramps you will dig the dyes. Oh and don't call them cute cause they will F***ing cut you man!

The Afterdarks http://www.theafterdarks.com/index.html
These guys rock! Think of a Model A coupe stripped down with a blown hemi and a bad additude and thats what the Afterdarks have done with Rockabilly. Pure horsepower high octane rock n roll with no frills.

The Real Gone:http://www.myspace.com/therealgone
These veteran roots musicians hit the nail on the head with spot on reverb dripping instrumental surf.

5.We will have lots of venders selling cool s**t.
6. A kick *** T-shirt the you need:D

Hope to see you all there Rain or shine!

I am headed over there - I will be there bright and early trying to sell some stuff to get some gas money back! - I hope some people in the Chicago area know about the show and will come out and support the show - should be cool - if the weather is wet - I am not sure about showing up since I will be driving almost 3 hours to get there from Iowa........driving that far to see 12-18 cars just wont be worth it

seeya this weekend!

hey - it is not looking good here in Iowa and the internet weather report says the same for your area - so I am bailing out

I know I am lame - but I have done outdoor shows in the past where rain sets in and I actually get all my stuff rained on and the show ends up COSTING me money cause I get too much merchandise damaged
that is why I usually only do shows that have indoor locations

magazines and dvds dont like water - I have even had some shirts ruined from the boxes getting wet on the bottom..........

anyway -

I apologize

and if you wanna send me a press release with pix I will be glad to promote the show in the blog thingy I do

seeya down the road

Sorry I had to miss this show, but I am stuck at work. I wont be ther, but my F 100 will. Tiger Mark is taking the truck there.
Hope the weather turns for the better, and everyone stays dry. Please post some pictures.

20% chance of rain is too much?

You need a tent!

What a beautiful day for a show.
