Man, that thing is looking great! I hope to see it up at RR this weekend.

  2. Great looking car, back in the mid 70's a shop I worked had a fleet of early 60's Valiants for company cars. God I loved driving them, simple & sweet to work on & even then you'd get those WTF is that stare while out driving them...joe

  3. Bills Alignment & Auto on 30th and Lafayette road. Good group of guys. They didn't have the specs for a car that old, but we were able to locate them and they were able to get er lined up.

  4. Had a few last minute issues pop up, brakes and a wheel bearing about to explode, but we're ready for the Rust Revival!

That car just has it nailed. Paint, stance, tires, hubcaps...you name it.

I have always been a fan of the Valiants. I plan on getting another 66 after I finish my car. I hope you don't take offense to this since it is not directed just at you and is only my opinion. But it seems to me that every one now a days is taking the art of pin stripping to an extreme. Where they used to be small and simple. The same patterns seem to keep getting stretched larger and larger to the point that they look gaudy if that is the right word. Here they seem to be like tattoos. If on is good. Then 20 have to be better. I grew up with a friend whose dad did a great deal of the pin stripping in this area. He was a awesome painter. I remember when the patterns like that were only 4 or 5 inches tall. I like the way the hood came out but the rear deck is a bit much for me. Remember. This is only my opinion and it is your car. Always build it to what makes you happy. Not some one else. Are you planning on keeping the stock wheels or adding mags? They look good with about any wheel choice. You are doing a nice job on the car. It is going to make a nice cruiser

  13. No offense taken at all there Furious66. I will probably end up keeping the stock wheels with the hubcaps since the 4 on 4 pattern is pretty much impossible to find any wheels.

  14. Got my MP3 player stuff all tucked away and in place. :) Gotta have some tunes for my daily driver.

Here is the radio delete plate that maccustom molded. We then painted it with real steel to give it a vintage cast look.

Here we made a bracket to hold 2 4" speakers in the factory location. Just the way they should be, not seen. :)

And finally got the 6 x 9's sunk below the package tray and covered with a cool mesh material that eagletucky had left over. Makes for a much cleaner look.

  15. Nice job. It's making me want to work on my 65 Barracuda again.

From earlier posts, I think a 2 piece front bumper would look killer on the Valiant.
