new hotrod, may 2013, 63 plymouth gasser, with a bubble top, not a 61 chevy bubble top, a beatnik bandit bubble top!

Not sure how I feel about it, did a little search online, but can't find any pics for you.

  2. I doubt that you can call it a "gasser" with a bubble top unless you are racing newstalgia. But it sounds neat enough.

You are talking upside down fishbowl, correct?

fish bowl yes... maybe "street freak" would be a better term, on the cover there is a tiny pic in the corner, at first I thought it was a model car....

Might make a good vehicle for a whacky new TV show! Maybe a remake of the Monkeys or the Munsters? ;)

  7. Nothing "Gasser" about that - even HOT ROD was smart enough to call it a Street Freak.

we need to be careful of the use of "street freak" many of the cars that are called "street freak" are actually "street machines....big difference.....this car is more of the freak nature...just tryng to help those that are rewriting the street freak history...

Actually, what really gaks me is the Mustang/Gt40 in that mag...I like it, but I wish they had started with a DynaCorn mustang, since they were going to cut so much of it up anyway and maybe not register it.

I'd LIKE the bubblegass if they had started with a 4 door...if you're gonna hack, why not pick something no one wants?

It would have been a shame to waste a good model car on that....:D

  15. Dooley,
If you are of a mind to could you tell me the difference? Maybe a PM if you think it is too off topic a discussion. I am just curious here, not looking for an arguement.

So that thing is driving around somewhere? Must be delightful to drive on a sunny day, sitting in a fishbowl smelling your own farts. A real date machine.

I would call that a Hi Rider or Street Freak, certainly not a gasser

  21. If it is actually real, let's see it go thru a NHRA tech inspection!

Is this really a traditional semantics arguement?

It does have a gasser attitude, nose up with the straight axle. But the bubble, interesting as it is, does not fit the look of the rest of the car. Not fugly, just weird.

  26. OK then.

    For future reference only:

Just click on the smilley to the right of your text box, you may have to go advanced to get the smileys. I think that these ;):):D:p may mean that i am amusing myself.

This one  means that I am amusing myself at someone else's expense. ;)
