My guess would be out of a pontiac tempest, GTO, Olds. Can you help! Found a 427 400 hp Corvette motor for the car. Will post installation later.

Had very similar ones in a '64 Chev Impala. The pleats in the Chev ran north south instead of east west like these. The chrome surround appeared in a few GM models in the early 60's.

I'm thinking that maybe GM used the same basic bucket seats for the same size cars and the design of the covering was the main difference. A search of photos of mid 60's GM cars that might have had those seats should narrow it down.
    I'd start with Pontiac though.

As Bud said , Pontiac Gran Prix . Now General Motors actually used these frames from 1958 to 1964. Granted , seeing these frames in ANY G M automobile prior to 1963 was RARE, they were indeed used .......... scrubba

Those rat motors can be a bit of a tight squeeze into the 49-54 cars. If you had the correct intake and carbs that would be awesome, still would be cool with a couple of afbs on top of that dual quad though

They've already been ID'd but for future reference, early Corvair used these same seats but without the chrome "basket handle" around the top. The 58-61 seats are not the same, they have a hard steel back and these have an upholstered back. Those early ones are incredibly valuable.

The GTO/LeMans/A-body seats of 64-65 are very similar but narrower than these and the chrome band will not fit them. Late Corvair (65-up) used the narrower seats and will swap into a GTO.
