Hey guys I am going to the buffalo/ Rochester area from the 25 to the 29 of april is there any must see rod shops or things to do
IRCOOTER, I am located in Rochester and know most of the hot rod shops in the area and would be glad to act as a guide for you. Plus, I belong to a local club that has nearly 150 members and mabny of them have great cars that I'm certain they would be glad to show off. IM me and perhaps we can work something out.
Be sure to check out Riter Restorations. some hot rods, some classics, some sports crs. The original Cannonball Run Challemger is sometimes there. http://www.riterrestorations.com/
There's plenty to do and see in western New York . We have a very active car scene in this area. Go to www.showandcruisenews.com . There is a calander of events for the next month or so in there. If you happen to be in the Buffalo area pm me.
Yea the Dinosaur rules! And check out the abandoned subway system under Rochester while you're there. You can get in right under Dinosaur's...
Duff's is good but by far the best are Peter K's on Harlem in Cheektowaga. Damn those little fuckers are tasty and it brings back good memories since my father took me there a lot when I was growing up. Duff's is more a Chicken Wing Soup. If you have an extra 42.5K Thunderbirdesq is selling his roadster and it's probably the most authentic hot rod I've seen in a long time.
all bars open till 4am and alot of kool bands, I will find out if the Blue Ribbon Bastards are playing that week and let you know
If you are free Tuesday Night, I have a must see for you. Let me know what your schedule is like. Where are you staying???
Hey Bflo Rodder, The Bastards aren't going to be playing any of those days unfortunately. But thanks for the refferall! Next show is May 7 with The Lords of the Highway and the Whiskey Daredevils at the Mohawk! and IRCooter, do contact JRBlack about Tuesday nights! Still havent made it out to one yet! As soon as school is done i will! -Steve
Ted's foot longs on Transit, Anchor bar, Tonawanda engine plant, Mac's in Lockport, drive the Scajaquada Expressway at night, Erie Ave. downtwon, Clarence old town.....
haha, thanks for the plug, Jeffro! IR, if you're around on Tues, hit up the clubhouse there with Jrblack30. It's a sight to see! I'll be around that week, but I'm leaving for Carlisle on the 28th.
Its April in WNY. Pack a parka and a bathing suit, you may need them both. Niagara Falls is a must see if you havn't been there. If you want to hit the Canadian side of the falls (lots of reasons to do that!!) make sure you bring your passport.
If you have never been to Niagara Falls, go there. I installed the elevators on Skylon Tower on the Canuck side. 1965-66 Colder than a witch's tit that year......
go to Viola's Submarine House 1539 Military Rd Niagara Falls, NY or pine ave behind save a lot they have good subs
I'm a canuck and I know all about the the "reasons" why you americans like to travel north of the border. best shows in town.
Thanks for all the info, helps to plan a trip when you qet a feel for the lay of the land. The HAMB is amazing when you have guys from opposite ends of North america and two different countries go so far as to offer to pick up a complete stranger from the airport, invite them to come and hang out with their buddy's, and show you around town.
