I put a 1962 Buick 215 in the Austin Ruby and made an oil filter adaptor to fit between the frame rails. I haven't run it yet but in the meantime, I have picked up other smallblock Buick and British Rover parts. In one of those piles I ended up with this oil pump base/oil filter base. It points the element forward where I have lots of room but I do not know what engine or car it was installed on. This is shot of the 215 that has been bored to 300 and will be a replacement for the one in the car.

I don't believe that is a GM casting number and the Rover info is pretty sp****. Any Thoughts?
This is the one in the car I would like to be able to change.

a little bit of googling shows that it might be an SD1 Land Rover, whatever that is?
