Technical Buick 364 Casting Number

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by Bib Overalls, Aug 17, 2024.

  1. I have a Buick 364 that I purchased as a long block and I am gathering parts to complete the assembly. One thing I need to get is a water crossover. This part is specific to the 364. Buick 264/322 and 401/425 motors have their own crossovers and part numbers. To help me validate over the net offers can any of you 364 owners check your motors and feedback the water crossover casting number? It would be a big help to me if you can.

  2. 1181025. That came off of a 57 4-barrel motor. I don't know if there are multiple casting numbers for the same part. I will dig in my pile as I think I have a 61 one also.

Budget36 and leon bee like this.
  3. The one I have off of a 59 motor has the same 1181025 casting number. Both of these have the heater hose nipple coming off the back of the thermostat housing area. Still looking for the 61 one.
Unless you already have them, a harder find will be the oil pump and filter adapter if an earlier block. 364 4V intakes as well.

Stevie G has one for sale I believe. I know he put it up on Marketplace a few weeks ago. I pinged him over there with this thread.
