Technical Buick 90 fin vs 45 fin - dims?

    What, if any are the dimensional differences between the 90 fin and 45 fin Buick brake drums? and what, if any impact does that have on adapting them to early ford spindles? This is NOT about the aesthetics, although I will confess preferring the 90 fin version.

    The only difference is fine count otherwise whatever is needed to adapt one applies to the other. Buick went to the 90 find to dissapate more heat.

    Having a pair of 90 fin Buick drums, apparently cast from 'unsellium', I have long pondered the lemming like allegiance to 45 fin versions....apparently cast from 'cantgetenuffofium'....go figure! :confused:
