lets see some 40s/50s buicks. here's two of the herd. 48 super convert, one owner other than me, stock at the moment, but it does need to go faster than it does with a 248ci/3 speed and low geared rear end. and a 53 skylark i got many years ago when they were still somewhat affordable. i may sell or trade it for something interesting.
I will eventually have a Buick cruiser.... John and Zman, wow, those are amazing Buicks! I'd be happy if I got mine half as nice as yours.
I know you've already seen my Bro-in-Law's '50 Sedanette but here it is again. Light Blue after new paint and dark blue with trailer at WCK Paso a few years ago. And he can't stay away from Buicks so this is the '53 he had back in the early 2000's
Coincidentally, just last night I was watching a Nick Nolte movie on starz and went totally bonkers over the black Roadmaster convertible he was tooling around in. I think it was a 49 model.
Heres my 1956 Buick Special Wagon. 322" Nailhead, 700r4 OD, Ford Rearend and Power Disc Brakes makes it cruise just right.
Here's mine. Ran 114mph at El Mirage back in October of '91 (yes, I do have the timing slip), still a daily driver. Hard to keep it below 80 on the freeway.
A buick thread pops up about every six months, if you run a search there is a thread with a ton of pictures on it.
